Payroll Management:
Process and capture salaries efficiently and accurately using Sage VIP Payroll.
Ensure compliance with statutory payroll requirements, tax regulations, and company policies.
Reconcile payroll-related accounts within the general ledger.
Administer employee benefits, including provident fund contributions and medical aid.
Manage payroll queries and resolve discrepancies.
Understand company contributions, earnings, and deductions, ensuring accurate payroll processing.
Ensure monthly SARS and taxation submissions are completed accurately and on time.
Financial and Banking Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage payments via the company’s banking platforms.
Perform monthly financial reconciliations, ensuring all payroll transactions align with financial provisions.
Ensure accurate financial reporting and assist in budget preparation.
Maintain a streamlined approach to financial provisions and budget tracking on a monthly basis.
Be a financial driver, ensuring that payroll operations contribute to the company’s overall financial goals.
BBBEE and Compliance:
Oversee and manage the BBBEE compliance framework, ensuring payroll and financial reporting align with regulatory requirements.
Maintain records and ensure proper documentation for BBBEE audits and reporting.
Assist in the preparation of BBBEE submissions and liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in financial reconciliation and payroll orientated structures.
Required Skills
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Sage VIP Payroll.
Strong understanding of general ledger reconciliation and financial reporting.
Experience working with provident fund portals and managing banking payments.
Knowledge of BBBEE compliance and reporting frameworks.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with product heads and financial teams.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing.
Efficiency in financial reconciliations and budget tracking.
Compliance with BBBEE and statutory payroll requirements.
Effective financial data support to product heads.
Streamlined financial provisions and monthly budget management.
