DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to:

General Responsibilities

  • Monitor Warehouse Management system, by capturing data and correction of errors.

  • Conducting monthly and weekly physical stock counts, by capturing physical data and reconciling variances.

  • Manage equipment by enforcing proper operating instructions.

  • Develop and motivate staff.

  • Monitor and coordinate activities and performance of staff.

  • Coordinate the activities prescribed in the safety management program.

  • Correct unsafe work conditions and practices, report deviations to the Warehouse Manager/ SHERQ Officer.

  • Oversees the daily operations in a Warehouse.

  • Ensures that the team operates cohesively,adheres to safety standards and meets productivity targets.

  • Conducts regular audits of Warehouse operations including inventory accuracy, condition of goods, identify and address any discrepancies.

  • Facilitate training sessions for new hires and provide ongoing training and support to existing team members to enhance their skills and performance.

  • Be available to cover weekend work in various areas within the Warehouse operations.

  • Willing to work different different shifts including but not limited to weekends.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Warehousing or Supply Chain Management.

  • CHE (45 ton) and Forklift license will be advantageous.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Leader.

  • At least 3-4 years in a similar role in a warehouse setting.

  • Understanding of warehouse operations.

  • Proficiency in warehouse management software is an advantage.

Required Skills

  • Good team skills to be able to work with others.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • Good knowledge of record keeping.

  • Excellent leadership,communication and critical thinking skills.
