At Grindrod Logistics, we are deeply committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve. This holiday season, we had the privilege of participating in a heartwarming event as part of our Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiative. We were honored to be invited to the Reunion Special Needs School Christmas Party, where we had the chance to bring some festive joy to children with special needs.

A Meaningful Contribution to the Children of Reunion Special Needs School

The Reunion Special Needs School, which caters to children aged 5 to 19 living with cerebral palsy, is an inspiring place where each learner’s unique needs are supported with care and attention. As part of our CSI efforts, Grindrod Logistics donated 258 toys and cupcakes to the learners. These gifts were thoughtfully selected to be both enjoyable and developmentally appropriate, keeping in mind the specific needs of the children.

For children with cerebral palsy, toys are not just for fun – they are a tool for development. The toys we donated were chosen to help improve motor skills, enhance grip strength, and stimulate sensory processing. By engaging with these toys, the children were able to work on hand-eye coordination and movement, contributing to their overall physical abilities in a fun and engaging way. It’s rewarding to know that these gifts will continue to benefit the children beyond the holiday season.
